COLLEGE PARK, MD--The 12th week of the NBA season has wrapped up, and it's time to take a closer look at how several former University of Maryland players are performing in the professional league. This includes Derik Queen with the New Orleans Pelicans, Kevin Huerter and Jalen Smith, both with the Chicago Bulls, Aaron Wiggins of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jahmir Young who is currently playing for the Miami Heat and Sioux Falls Skyforce, and Julian Reese with Raptors 905.
Derik Queen (New Orleans Pelicans)
- Derik Queen has established himself as one of the standout rookies this season, boasting impressive averages of 12.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
- His shooting accuracy has him ranked among the top 50 in the entire NBA, while his rebounding prowess places him within the top 35 players in that category.
- Notably, on January 9, Queen achieved his second career triple-double in a remarkable performance against the Wizards, contributing 14 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Kevin Huerter (Chicago Bulls)
